Pronunciation/Speaking/Listening (PSL)
"We listen before we learn to speak and we speak before we learn to read."
This class offers an invaluable set of lessons that will aid your learning or teaching of the English language forever. The practical lessons are designed to help you train your brain to process the language at speed and speak clearly and correctly. Both your thinking and speaking skills will become more intuitive and automatic. You will practise listening to different English speakers from around the world and adopt pronunciation that is best suited to your own needs and ability.
Confident speakers and listeners
Pronunciation lessons are structured around either Phonics or Phonemics and Graphames or a mixture of all three, depending on your needs. In addition, we will listen to podcasts and clips as well as examine cultural and regional differences to ensure you are better prepared for a broader variety of communication skills. Of course, we will have fun with rhymes, songs, poems, tongue twisters, idioms, chunks, elisions, contractions and so much more!
Who is this course for?
- Adults and Children 12 years +
- as an addition for those who are having English language lessons either with us or elsewhere
- non-native speakers who teach or studied English in the past and would like to brush up on their own skills
- those who want to test their speaking, practise or broaden their English language communication skills
Flexible Joining and Mix & Match
PSL as well as RWC lessons run in two terms, each lasting 18 weeks and we reccomend that you attend all 36 lessons in a year for each level to gain full benefits. Nevertheless, it is possible to join at any time during the 36 week teaching year and catch up on what you have missed in the following year. Once you have finished the full PSL course for your level, you can try out our RWC lessons for the remainder of the year.
Please note that joining lessons at any time is subject to availability. We reccommend that you secure your place prior to the beginning of each teaching year which starts in September.
